We offer you choice like no other permaculture training organisation in the world.

- You can study online with our experienced sister organisation PermacultureVisions.com
- You can learn purely by immersion through doing workshops at Permaculture Wollongong Institute. When you have done the 20 units in permaculture you are awarded your Permaculture Design Course Certificate. You will develop your practical experience by learning on some of the most mature permaculture sites in the world.
- You can do both: study online and supplement the theory with workshops. This is our new hybrid system. This can help speed up your training by eliminating the need to send in homework for each topic and help you build hands-on skills. If you have submitted most of your Permaculture Design Course topics with an on-site course but lost momentum, you can now pick up the remaining topics with our online training and vice-versa.
Our online training has been running since 1993 and is now in more than 60 countries. You can choose to study partly online and partly on-site with a range of different sites worldwide. Or you can choose a face-to-face course with an affiliated institute to learn with our approved instructors. If you did most of your Permaculture Design Course topics with an on-site course but dropped out early, you can now pick up the remaining topics with our online training and vice-versa.
Our on-site training is based at our Permaculture food forest in Wollongong which mature and productive. We also have also started a network of elders worldwide. Here is our growing list of affiliated institutes.
